Pack 1162 is a family Cub Scout pack serving boys and girls in grades K-5 in Purcellville, VA and surrounding areas.

Pack Activities

Den Meetings

Learn new skills, complete Scouting adventures, have fun!

Dens are grouped by grade level and gender, and meet 1-2 times per month.

Pack Meetings

Play games, celebrate awards and achievements, share the Scouting spirit, learn about upcoming activities. Families welcome.

All Dens come together once per month for Pack Meetings.

Pack Hikes

A fun time to be outdoors for all ages and family members. Hikes take place monthly around the local area and allow Scouts and their families to learn about nature and enjoy time with friends.

Community Activities

Scouts serve the local community with cleanups and other projects, visit the Fire or Police station, and participate in the town holiday parades.


Pinewood Derby

Which Scout can build the fastest car? Whose will have the best paint job, the most unique theme, or the most Patriotic design? Awards for Den and overall Pack winners.

Summer Camp

Canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, camping skills, shooting sports, handicrafts, and more. One, three, and five-day programs for Scouts of all ages.

Seasonal Campouts

Enjoy the fresh air, beautiful scenery, and dinner and S'mores cooked over the fire. Open to all Scouts and their families.

Blue & Gold

This banquet provides an opportunity each year for Scouts and their families to come together and celebrate the founding of BSA.

Youth Protection

Pack 1162 is committed to a safe and positive experience for all Scouts and their families, and follows all national Youth Protection guidelines.
